Challenge

The main objective of the project was to create a company canteen with an inviting environment and pleasant acoustics. In order to do that, a special acoustic ceiling and sound-reducing carpets were installed, creating a relaxed soundscape. In addition to the design, functionality was also a key element. Combining different seating options -from individual seats and group tables to a bar counter with charging sockets – we developed a versatile space that supports both relaxation and productive work.

Realization

When entering the company canteen, guests are welcomed by a cosy lounge, which invites them to linger before reaching the actual catering area. A central highlight is the Vitalbar, which acts as a meeting point. Its design was deliberately kept in light tones and contemporary tiled look. A selection of fresh bread rolls and baguettes is served here in the morning, while coffee, cakes and refreshing juices complete the food offering at lunchtime. The adjoining seating areas have been designed to be varied and flexible in order to meet the different needs of guests. There are individual seats as well as group tables and round tables, which are ideal for meetings or team discussions. A bar counter with stools also offers the opportunity to combine mobile working with a coffee or snack. The integrated charging sockets, makes this area particularly functional.

Highlights

The organic acoustic ceiling provides a pleasant background noise, creating a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Different floor coverings were used to visually separate the individual areas. Carpets were used to reduce noise and create cosy zones in which to linger and work. The water bar is another functional element that has been stylishly integrated into the space, where guests can get fresh water at any time. Round and suspended pendant lights provide a harmonious and balanced lighting in all areas. The long pendant lights in the middle of the room and the ring-shaped lights at the water station provide a contemporary look. A modern conference room with a quiet atmosphere and the latest technology is also available for meetings or company events.
