Marché Mövenpick

Challenge

Marché Mövenpick operates very successfully on a franchise basis at 70 locations in nine countries and impresses with its gastronomy concept of market-fresh cuisine and the transparent preparation of meals for its guests. The Hellabrunn Zoo near Munich (Bavaria) is one of these locations. Now the restaurant was to be rebuilt and renovated according to a customer's own concept. The requirement was to create a Bavarian farmhouse flair, which stands out through the use of different theme areas and a high variance of materials. Fresh products are a prerequisite for the customer and his quality requirements. This should also be expressed in the interior design. An unusual and outstanding guest experience was to be created by the different self-service areas.

Realization

An apparently randomly mixed interior design creates the desired wow-effect and reminds one of an old farmhouse. For this purpose, a stove from grandmother's times or even a ladder truck had to be found, which made us inventive. Tiles in infinite designs, including wooden tiles, can be found throughout the entire restaurant area and make the restaurant look dynamic and traditional. For the newly established Rösti station, where à la minute Swiss Rösti are prepared from freshly boiled potatoes, individual Rösti holders were developed and attached. With seating for 300 people, the marketplace restaurant now offers friendly hospitality with the help of Alpine ambience. The guests stroll from market stall to market stall and are inspired by fresh alpine cuisine and dishes prepared right before their eyes. The focus is on high-quality, regional and seasonal ingredients. Natural handicraft, live cooking, as well as the beer garden in the greenery, make you want to come back again.

Highlights

Vegetarian Island in the heart of the inn is impressive, not least because of the size and layout of the food counter and the illuminated signs. A specially designed beverage refrigerator with integrated meltwater drain is also located here. A bathtub as a further beverage serving station convinces by its humorous and imaginative use.
