Ulla Popken

Challenge
The collaboration with Ulla Popken in Ulm's city center presented us with several exciting challenges in the areas of project management, assembly, production and logistics. One of the biggest tasks was the delivery and assembly of the furniture and elements in the busy city center. Close consultation with the drywall builders and coordination of the entire team were essential in order to master the local conditions efficiently. Another interesting challenge was to optimally adapt the substructures of the wall elements to the existing structural conditions. The clothes rails, which hung elegantly from the ceiling, also required precise and stable installation in order to integrate the design seamlessly into the existing architecture.

Realization
During the implementation phase, Bohnacker successfully applied its extensive expertise in project management, production, assembly and logistics. Our task was to precisely assemble the furniture and furnishing elements supplied. In particular, adapting the wall elements to the specific structural conditions on site was a challenge that we mastered through careful planning and precise craftsmanship. The clothes rails hanging from the ceiling were professionally installed to ensure a safe and stable presentation of the clothes. We also installed the steel racks and precisely aligned the lighting to bring the products into focus. The lighting was adjusted to highlight the clothing in the best possible way while creating a pleasant atmosphere. The shelving was also installed to measure, ensuring a functional and open store design.

Highlights
A particular highlight of the project was the presentation of a prototype, the so-called “jeans module”, which we were able to test and build for the first time at Ulla Popken. This shelf proved to be particularly functional and successful. Another highlight was the open design of the furniture and shelves, which gave customers a quick and clear overview of the products. The coffee bar in the middle of the store also provided a cozy meeting place for customers and contributed to the inviting atmosphere. The checkout, which stood out thanks to its modern design and central location, also rounded off the overall concept perfectly.
