Sport Klamser
Challenge
The aim of the Sport Klamser project was clear: the store design had to be completely revised and sustainability would have a key role. We needed to reuse as many elements of the existing store fittings as possible and integrate them into the new concept. The challenge was to develop a completely new, modern design with the existing materials, and at the same time, deal with technical constraints. We focused on Sport Klamser‘s core competencies to create an inviting, professional and pleasant shopping experience for customers. Our work covered the coordination and implementation of all building services, from drywall construction and floor laying to electrical installation, including as well, the metalwork of the new entrance door system. The fire protection system also had to be revised and expanded due to a change of use. Structural changes had to be implemented to comply with current regulations.

Realization
As part of the structural changes, elements such as the new emergency exit staircase, raising of railings and the fire protection system upgrade, were implemented. We created an inviting space integrating the core areas of skiing, golf, tennis, running and team sports with a cosy lounge. Customers can enjoy a pleasant environment while receiving personalised advise and spending waiting times in a relaxing atmosphere. In order to reuse resources, we adapted as many existing store elements as possible to the new design. Only a few new pieces of furniture were added. This meant, that most of the existing store's furnishings were reutilised and integrated into the new concept.
Highlights
The new design includes a glass workbench for the ski and golf areas. This combines functionality and modern design, highlighting the store's craftsmanship. The open entrance area with the adjoining consultation lounge invites customers to come in for fittings and consultations in a relaxed atmosphere. Another highlight is the integration of team sports workstations with an extensive sample area. Here, clubs can select their new kits and equipment and discuss individual requirements. The result: a modern, customer-oriented store design that impresses with its open layout, sustainable use of materials and functionality. A place where sports enthusiasts can not only shop, but also feel comfortable and inspired.
