Pharmacy Storchen
Challenge
After taking over the Storchen pharmacy in Herbertingen, pharmacist Andreas Kugler decided to modernize the branch pharmacy and bring it up to the state of the art. In the pharmacy rooms with 168 square meters, an appealing open and visible area with a total of 3 checkout stations was to be created. When planning the back office area, the installation of an automated picking machine was planned. Likewise, emphasis was placed on a separate consultation room for the pharmacy's customers. The ceiling was to be completely redesigned, and the aging flooring was to be completely replaced. Since the pharmacy was closed for the complete work during the remodeling phase, the timeline was very short and everything had to be perfectly timed.

The vending machine with its given storage and retrieval points in connection with the given architecture (supports) was the "pivot" around which everything else had to be "built". In addition, two entrances to the pharmacy had to be considered, one of which will no longer be accessible in a few years. The pharmacy was fundamentally rebuilt. The visual and free choice was optimized, new hand sales tables were installed and the shop window area was redesigned. The individual sales areas are clearly structured so that customers can find their way around immediately. The color tones and combinations used give the customer a feeling of warmth and comfort. The consultation room was kept in the same light shades as the office. Confidential discussions can now take place here, away from the public.
Highlights
In the course of the remodeling work, the ceiling panel was suspended with a light cove above the sight selection and the manual sales tables. The store is now more spacious, brighter and more clearly laid out. The picking machine provides an automated warehouse and the back office processes have been optimized.
