Challenge

Dr. Judith Mair is a dermatologist at the Glacis in Neu-Ulm. In her new practice rooms, she and her team offer a wide range of dermatological and aesthetic medical services. With the latest treatment methods, outpatient operations can also be performed on site. Since Dr. med Mair wanted to open her practice as quickly as possible, the task was to build a state-of-the-art practice with bright and friendly rooms in a very tight time frame and in close coordination with her.

Realization

The aim was to create practice rooms on around 200 square metres in which patients can feel comfortable. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide plenty of daylight in the practice, which offers a beautiful view over the Glacis grounds as soon as you enter the practice. The reception area impresses with a U-shaped counter in elegant white. This is particularly characterised by its functionality - the practice team is guaranteed a smooth workflow and the arriving patients can be served quickly. A soundproof ceiling with special skylights that let in light but do not restrict the patients' intimacy/privacy was installed in the individual rooms and in the operating theatre. A separate room for laser treatments as well as for sterile preparation with autoclave was also installed. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the waiting area paired with the white wooden benches and the CI colours of the logo invite patients to linger in comfort. The white furniture, which must have a very high chemical resistance, thus captivates with timeless elegance. Paired with the wood-look conductive floor, the patient is given the feeling of warmth and comfort instead of sterile practice rooms.

Highlights

The colour white was chosen as the dominant colour to give the practice a bright and modern look. In addition, the individually designed colour walls in the practice rooms provide a fresh and cheerful splash of colour. Starting in the waiting area, which reflects the colourful CI sign of the practice, a colour from the logo is projected in each treatment room. This colourful contrast to the white furniture freshens things up and gives the treatment rooms an eye-catching look. Furthermore, the coloured accents give the rooms a visual depth.
