Challenge

The challenge for our London-based design agency, Wanda, was to create a complete branding for the duty-free shop and develop a unique concept reflecting the identity of the shop, while at the same time meeting customer expectations. This required the creation of a consistent visual identity that had to be present both on the products and in the shop itself. On-site construction required efficient coordination and liaison with various trades to ensure that the branding was seamlessly integrated into the shop structure. Local regulations and cultural differences had also to be taken into account.

Wanda, our London based award-winning design agency, developed the branding and store concept of the Duty Free shopDay2Day, in close collaboration with the operator. The store is located in Hamad International Airport, Doha. As experts in travel retail, Wanda not only created an aesthetically pleasing and functional design, but also implemented innovative solutions to optimise passengers' shopping experience. A key feature of the Day2Day duty-free shop is the impressive digital area at the entrance. State-of-the-art technologies have been integrated here to offer customers interactive and immersive experiences. From digital billboards to interactive displays, this space has been designed to capture passengers' attention and transport them to a world of luxury and the excitement of travel. In addition to the manufacturing of the furniture, the entire logistics and assembly also had to be coordinated. From sourcing high-quality materials to on-time delivery and installation on site, we made sure that every detail meets high standards. The result is a duty free store that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also effectively conveys the brand message and offers a seamless shopping experience. Our work on the Day2Day duty-free shop at Hamad International Airport highlights our expertise in travel retail and demonstrates our commitment to first-class design and professional implementation.

Highlights

A special highlight in the duty-free shop is the entrance with digital screens. Content can be customised as desired in order to advertise current offers, special promotions or cultural events. The ability to customise digital content is key to engage with customers and contributes to an interactive and personalised shopping experience.
