Bike Planet GmbH

Challenge
The client had a clear vision: a spacious but previously unused 1,200 m² area was to be transformed into a bike store that was not only functional but also emotionally inspiring. They wanted a modern, atmospheric store concept that reflected the high quality of the products as well as the innovative brand image. The floor-to-ceiling window fronts posed a particular challenge - they were not only intended to provide natural light, but also to serve as a showcase for bike highlights. A central component of the brief was also the integration of heavy-duty racks across the entire height of the room in order to present the largest possible number of bicycles - without compromising the openness and customer guidance in the room. In addition to the architectural requirements, the aim was to combine logistical processes, aesthetic design and emotional customer loyalty. In short: the task required a well thought-out interplay of spatial planning, product range logic and brand experience.

Realization
The original concept was transformed into a store experience that appeals to all the senses. The implementation began with the targeted zoning of the sales area: on the lower levels, platforms and deliberately staged green areas enable a high-quality, inspiring presentation of selected bikes at eye level. The majority of the bikes remain easily accessible for the customer - yet ceiling-high shelves offer maximum capacity in the smallest of spaces and create an impressive overall impression. A special highlight: a real tree element has been integrated into the central coffee corner. This unusual combination of retail and outdoor worlds creates an inviting atmosphere, invites customers to linger and makes the store a place where community and experience take center stage. Functional aspects were not neglected either: an open workshop with visible tool walls was seamlessly integrated into the store concept. Customers can not only take advantage of services here, but also gain an authentic insight into the craftsmanship behind the products.

Highlights
The bike store impresses with a sophisticated combination of function and atmosphere. Ceiling-high shelves make optimum use of the vertical space and impressively showcase the bikes. Platforms and green areas create varied presentation zones and draw the eye to selected models. A real highlight is the coffee zone with integrated tree, which gives the store a natural, inviting touch. The open workshop allows an insight into the craftsmanship processes and promotes transparency. The concept is rounded off by the light-flooded window front, which not only provides daylight but also serves as an architectural statement.
