Challenge
As part of the redesign of the Degenhart specialist beverage store, the central challenge was to create a high-end store concept that both reflects the variety of the product range and enables a modern, structured shopping experience. Special focus was placed on premium categories such as wine, sparkling wine, spirits, and craft beer — all of which required authentic, appealing presentation within an inviting environment. Additionally, the design had to incorporate flexible secondary placement options that complemented the overall concept in both function and form.

In close collaboration with the client, a cohesive design concept was implemented -centered around warm materials, flexible functionality, and a consistent design language. Individually planned gondolas and wall shelving systems were clad with wood-look decorative panels, creating an inviting, high-quality retail environment. These fixtures were enhanced by mobile presentation trolleys, positioned alongside gondolas as an elegant, reusable alternative to standard cardboard displays, allowing flexible, seasonal product dsiplays. The entrance area and checkout solution were seamlessly integrated into the design, contributing to a harmonious overall enviroment.
Highlights
The wine and spirits sections shine with generously scaled shelving, defined by clean lines, premium materials, and strategically placed accent lighting. The wood-look panels not only enhance the warm ambiance but also reflect the retailer’s expertise and curated product selection. The mobile trolleys offer a stylish, adaptable solution for promotions and seasonal changes — blending functionality with visual elegance. From the entry area to the wall zones and central room, the result is a thoroughly thought-out space with a clear and consistently implemented design signature that elevates both the brand and the customer experience.
